Karnataka GFGC principal recruitment 2022, apply online for 310 post

The Karnataka Examinations Authority has now released a notification to fill up the vacant posts of Principal Grade-1 in Government First Class Colleges in the state of Karnataka through direct recruitment. Eligible candidates are requested to apply online. The applied candidates will have to appear for the competitive examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority.

Application Fee Details
Rs.5000 for general merit candidates.
Rs.5000 for category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates.
There is fee exemption for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1, Handicapped candidates. But a processing fee of Rs.2500 has to be paid.

Eligibility for the post of Principal Grade-1
– Should have obtained PhD qualification from a duly established university.
– Should be a Professor / Associate Professor with aggregate experience of fifteen years as a full-time teaching staff in teaching or research or administration in any Government First Class College or Private Degree College affiliated to Karnataka Universities.
– Must have published at least 10 research articles in advanced research journals (pre-reviewed) or UGC listed journals.
– Must have 110 research marks as per UGC norms.

Age Eligibility: Should not exceed 55 years of age as on the last date for submission of applications to the examining authority.

Selection Procedure – Competitive Exam Details
The competitive exam will be conducted for 100 marks, 100 questions and duration of 2 hours. This will be an objective multiple choice paper.

A Kannada language test of 150 marks will be conducted compulsorily for candidates who have not studied Kannada as a language. Minimum 50 marks should be scored in this exam. Otherwise they will not be considered for the recruitment process. This question paper will be prepared with Kannada as the first language at SSLC level as the standard.
