Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is accredited by the University Grants Commission and “A” plus accreditation by NAAC.
Karamvi in Mysore will be the only distance education university in the state. According to the UGC regulations, the degrees awarded by Karnataka State Open University and the degrees awarded through regular channels are of equal merit. So those who are interested in the above mentioned courses can apply for these courses from the current academic year and get admission.

Special Note:- SC/ST/OBC students can get scholarship through SSP even for the courses taken in KSOU if they provide necessary documents.
