The Union Public Service Commission has now released the Admit Card for Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023. Candidates can download the admit card for the Central Civil Services Prelims exam to be held on May 28 from today.

How to Download Admit Card?

  • Visit the website.
  • On the home page that opens, notice ‘What’s New’.
  • Click on the link ‘e-Admit Card : Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023’.
  • Then click on ‘Click Here’ on another page of the commission that will open.
  • On this page also click on ‘Click Here’. Then proceed by reading the instructions on the page that opens.
  • In this page you can download the admit card by selecting registration id, roll number and login.

Which Category How Many Times Can Candidates Write UPSC Civil Services Exam?

General and Economically Backward (General / EWS) Category: 6 times.
OBC : 09 times.
For PwBD candidates : 09 times. (General / EWS / OBC)
For PwBD SC / ST Candidates: No limit.
No limit for SC/ST category. You can write as many times as you want.

How are Civil Services Exam Attempts Counted?
If a candidate appears in the preliminary examination, it will be considered for one attempt. Any one paper written by the candidate in the preliminary examination shall be considered as one attempt.

About UPSC CSE Prelims Exam
This exam is usually conducted in the month of May every year. The prelims exam will consist of two papers of 200 marks each.
General Studies Paper-1 : Contains 100 questions carrying 2 marks each.
General Studies Paper-2 : It consists of 80 questions carrying 2.5 marks each.
