Staff Recruitment Commission has released recruitment notification for filling 11,409 Multi Tasking Staff and Havaldar Posts. SSLC pass can apply for these posts. Examination for these posts will be conducted in 13 regional languages along with English and Hindi. Candidates of Karnataka state are also allowed to write the exam in Kannada and Konkani languages, applicants should know what are the stages of the recruitment process and what will be the exam pattern. But this time the exam will be conducted in a new pattern and it is special that there will be no exam like last year.
Exam Pattern for MTS Posts
There is a computer based examination for SSC MTS posts and the examination is conducted in two sessions. There will be no negative marking in Session 1 examination. There will be negative marking in the second session examination. But earlier paper-1 exam was conducted for 100 marks and paper-2 exam for 50 marks.

MTS Post Session-1 CBT Exam Pattern/ Marks
Session-1 CBT exam for MTS post will be conducted for 120 marks, 45 minutes. There will be objective type, multiple choice questions.

Numerical and Mathematical Ability : 20 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes test.
Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: 20 Questions, 60 Marks, 45 Minutes Test.

MTS Post Session-2 CBT Exam Pattern/ Marks
Session 2 computer based test will be conducted for MTS post for maximum 150 marks. In this test negative marks are given for every wrong answer.

General Awareness : 25 questions, 75 marks, 45 minutes test.
English Language and Comprehension : 25 questions, 75 marks, 45 minutes test.

Exam Pattern for Havaldar Posts
PET, PST exam for Havaldar posts is conducted separately for male and female candidates as follows.
Endurance test for male candidates
Walking : 1600 meters walk in 15 minutes.
Endurance Test for Female Candidates
Walking : 1 km walk in 20 minutes.
Physical Fitness Test (Male & Female)
Physical fitness test for male candidates
Height: 157.5 cm
Chest Circumference: 81 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
Physical fitness test for female candidates
Height: 152 cm
Weight: 48 kg

Criteria for consideration for shortlisting
Evaluation of Session-2 CBT Exam Papers of Candidates Qualified in Session-1 CBT Exam. The minimum marks required to qualify in two sessions are given below for each category.
General Qualified Candidate : 30% Marks
OBC / EWS eligible candidate : 25% marks
All other category candidates: 20% marks
Computer Best Examination, PST, PET marks will be considered for Havaldar posts.
