Home Minister Araga Gyanendra tweeted that steps will be taken soon to recruit 2000 personnel to strengthen the police department. Also Rs 50 crore grant for purchase of police personnel vehicles, Rs 348 crore for modernization of police stations, Rs 410 crore grant for construction of jails, Rs 51 crore grant for modernization of prisons have been announced in Karnataka Budget 2023.
Which posts will be notified?
It has not been stated which posts will be filled. But out of the total 2000 posts, there will be a large number of police constables, SI posts within 100-500 posts.
